This is a guided mindfulness meditation. It runs approximately 12.5 minutes.
Naturally, you should only use this when you are not driving, operating heavy machinery, or otherwise doing anything that requires close concentration and quick responses. Use this when you can be alone, without need to pay attention to the dog, the phone, the doorbell, the children, or anyone else. Baby sitters and forklift drivers, do this some other time!
People sometimes they need to "do" something in order to meditate. For instance, it's common to think that you have to clear your mind of interrupting thoughts. Not so! Meditation is more a process of noticing the interrupting thoughts that cross your mind when you sit quietly and focus on a particular thought or sound or sensation.
